Dr. Nguyen Anh Phuong, Managing Director

With more than 16 years of experience in the fields of reneweable energy, civil construction and education, Dr. Nguyen Anh Phuong excelled in business building in multi-culture working environments. As Managing Director of UMI ASIA Ltd in Germany, she is handling the business entry for UMI ASIA into Vietnam and later SEA with a focus on accelerating the investment, education and advisory services in renewable energy. Dr. Phuong is concurrently the Founder and CEO of Tona Syntegra Solar, a JV between the Vietnamese-based Tona Construction Corporation and the Swiss-German based Syntegra Solar company. Furthermore, she served as Vice Director of International Study Programs at Hochiminh City University of Technology (HCMUT). In this role, she also acted as a senior lecturer in the fields of MIS, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
Dr. Phuong received her Master Degree in Management Information Systems from University of Applied Sciences Hannover, Germany and her Ph.D. in Energy Policy from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.

Nguyen Binh Phuong, Managing Director

With more than 17 years of experience in finance, banking, investment, management and entrepreneurship, Nguyen Binh Phuong has vastly comprehended the business modelling and investment in the fields of IT, Real Estate for industrial and commercial sectors, construction, and renewable energy. As Managing Director of UMI ASIA Ltd. in Germany, Mr Phuong is bridging the German/EU based companies with Vietnam marketing with the lense of long-term investment. Mr Phuong is the Founder cum CEO of TONA Construction and Investment Company in Vietnam. He is currently also serving as Board member of one of the top 3 Real Estate Corporations in Vietnam. As Vice President of Commercial Banks for more than 15 years since 2009, Mr Phuong has been investing and growing start-ups in the fields of technology, renewable energy (esp. solar), and education.
Mr Phuong received his double MBA degrees in Investment Banking and Management Information Systems from the University of Applied Sciences Hannover, Germany.

Prof. Dr. Rolf-Dieter Reineke, Managing Director

During his 30 years of practice as a consultant, trainer and entrepreneur Prof. Dr. Rolf-Dieter Reineke worked in more than 40 countries, with a regional focus on ASEAN countries. As Managing Director of UMI ASIA AG in Zurich he is dealing with business development and monitoring of project execution. His functional expertise covers internationalization and intercultural management, entrepreneurship, strategy, change and cooperation management.
His responsibilities as a Professor at the School of Business of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) includes the offshore MBA programs of FHNW in ASEAN countries and the SwissInnovation Challenge in Switzerland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Prof. Reineke is also Founder and Board Member of several companies in the consulting and other service sectors in Europe and Asia. Previously he had positions in various universities and major consulting companies such as Gemini Consulting (Capgemini).
Prof. Reineke received his Master Degree in Economics and his Ph.D. in International Management from the University of Münster, Germany.
